About Us
After spending several years working the computer industry, I decided to go back to school to follow my passion for cooking. I attended culinary school at Wake Tech Community College graduating in 2004 with a 4.0 GPA. Then I started focusing on pastries and cake as the assistant pastry chef at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC in the fall of 2004. After working there for 18 months, I went on to become the head pastry chef at Northridge Country Club in Raleigh, NC and the pastry department for over 2 years. Then I moved to the oldest and most exclusive country club in the triangle, Carolina Country Club, in Raleigh. There I was the executive pastry chef for 18 months before leaving this very demanding field to spend more time with my family. Now I am teaching future chefs at the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham as the baking and pastry instructor.
